Consortium – a place where new knowledge emerges

The research activities of gathering management topics and images by specialists from each sphere, researching them from various viewpoints and transmitting information are the basis of Nuture Networks’ philosophy and knowledge. Being in partnership with the Innovation Research Center at Hitotsubashi University and Nikkei newspaper publishing company, having the assistance of the Biomedical Collegium and Professor Ueda from the Artificial Engineering Research Center at Tokyo University and the cooperation of specialists from different areas of the industrial world, Nuture Networks has been conducting the “Emergence-style POWER UP Consortium”, where the ideas of co-creation and emergence, as well as the methods of work style management are researched.

Methods for creating value are in the process of changing as organizations are growing. Creation of value is achieved not by one part of the company, but has changed to a process, where people and organizations inside and outside the company, including customers, network, mutually influence each other and co-create value.

As for the new development of people and organizations, no more can it be accomplished by the already established simple top-down instruction execution style, but a value co-creation, emergence-style management is necessary, where bottom-up and top-down style are combined. In the “Emergence-style POWER UP Consortium” in order to achieve new organizational growth, methods for value co-creation and emergence-style management are researched.

  1. Sharing awareness about strategy formulation, execution and reformation of people /organization in a business environment, which is getting more open, complex and difficult to predict changes
  2. Research development about methods of co-creation and emergence as a learning process in the organization’s strategy formulation and execution
  3. Research development of methods for reformation of people and organization from emerging and co-creational perspective
  4. Research about the best practices (best practice and its methods of practice) of value co-creation, combining bottom-up and top-down style, emergence-style value co-creation and emergence-style management
  5. Recommendations about the best form of Japanese organization and people in the age of value co-creation and emergence-style management
